Job Description
Primary School English Language Acquisition (ELA) Teacher – Shanghai
Compensation:
• RMB 30,000+ / month (pre-tax, commensurate with qualifications)
• Standard international-school package: fully-furnished apartment or generous housing stipend, annual flights, worldwide medical insurance, tuition waiver for up to two dependent children, retention & relocation bonuses, visa & work permit fully sponsored, 2-year renewable contract.

The Role
We are looking for an energetic, creative Primary ELA Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated English-language lessons to Grades 1–5 (max 20 teaching hrs/week). You will co-teach alongside homeroom teachers, design scaffolded units, assess language growth, and help every child feel confident and successful.
What You’ll Do
• Plan & teach vibrant, data-driven ELA lessons using current ESL/EAL best practice.
• Co-form with homeroom teams—share pastoral duties, differentiate content, supervise recess/lunch.
• Track progress through ongoing formative & summative assessment; communicate clearly with parents.
• Run fun CCA / after-school language clubs.
• Support admissions by conducting placement testing.
• Contribute to a warm, collaborative culture of professional learning and child safeguarding.
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s in Education / TESOL / Linguistics (Master’s preferred).
• Government-issued K-12 teaching license or TESOL/TEFL equivalent.
• Native-level English fluency.
• 2–3+ yrs primary ESL/EAL experience in an international setting.
• Tech-savvy, team-oriented, flexible, passionate about inclusion and student wellbeing.
Start Date: January 2025 (or ASAP negotiable)
