Position: History and Social Studies teacher, Urgent

Requirements
1.Native speakers only
2 At least two years’ experience as an educator committed to discussion-, inquiry- and project-based learning
3in a student-focused environment; experience with teaching and developing dynamic curriculum for US History, Government, and European and World History. Experience with AP courses in these areas is
preferred, as is an openness to cross-disciplinary collaboration.
4Intercultural awareness and the flexibility to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural community; patience and
persistence; a collaborative, team-oriented work ethic; and, a good-humored self-awareness.
•5Bachelor’s degree (Masters or higher preferred) in history, education or a related social-scientific field;

6. • Criminal background check and professional references as required for work in China, as well as the
7 Twenty classroom hours a week (aprx. four periods a day with a workday from 8am – 4pm) in History and Social Studies instruction, along with associated planning, student assistance, and evaluation; and, the support of and contribution to the school’s intellectual community.
8 Help organize and advise an extracurricular club or activity with an enthusiastic desire for engagement with student life in a residential environment.

Benefits and Compensation:
• Annual salary, exclusive of local taxes, of RMB 375,000 – 425,000
negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
