We are seeking:
Homeroom English Teacher experienced in Early Childhood Education
Also fluent in Spanish and/or French would be a plus

Position Description:
The homeroom English teacher will work together with the homeroom Chinese teacher to design developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that are aligned with both our day care and preschool’s standards and the students’ interests; engage in ongoing observations to inform planning; and foster a safe and caring environment that respects each member of the team, including staff, children and families.

Working Time:
Full time position, 8.30am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Songjiang district, Shanghai


Class size: 18 children maximum
Age groups: 1–3 years ; 3–4 years

Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:
The following include main responsibilities of a Homeroom English Teacher.
• collaborate with Co-teacher to plan and organise developmentally appropriate activities to meet the learning and developmental needs of each child.
• communication with parents including parent-teachers conference and the creation of a daily blog containing a daily review and activities that promote continuity of learning at home
• attend meetings and prepare for major school events including, but not limited to Halloween, Christmas , Chinese New Year celebrations, and End of Year Performance

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and majored in Education preferred
•Minimum 2 years teaching experience in early childhood education

Skills:
• demonstrates a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, early childhood development, and early childhood education
• possess a passion for teaching young children
• able to take directions, accept constructive criticism, and collaborate within a team
• possess strong organizational and management skills.
