What you’ll do
AstraZeneca Ireland is looking for a talented, ambitious team player to join our Oncology team in a field sales role.  You will have Oncology experience and have the flexibility and motivation to adapt to our changing product portfolio and our evolving customer engagement model.  As a member of the Oncology team, you will contribute to developing and delivering patient value through our products, scientific engagement and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop outstanding product and disease state knowledge and effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support prescribing for appropriate patients.
     

  • Function independently with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet and exceed therapeutic and territory potential, addressing any shortfall areas.
     

  • Excellent Territory planning and reporting, analysis and return on investment per account.
     

  • Work with the cross-functional Oncology team to share market insight. Coordinate efforts on shared objectives and partner closely with Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Manager to ensure seemly delivery of our Oncology medicines to our customers.
     

  • Develop, maintain & build on relationships with Key prescribing & non prescribing Influencers
     

  • Managing Territory administration using CRM, expenses, Reports etc
     

  • Conduct business in an ethical, compliant manner according to company Code of Conduct

Essential for the role

  • Oncology Key Account Management experience is essential.

  • 3-4 years hospital sales experience.

  • Based on account potential, the role requires 3 days per week working in the 2 Dublin accounts and 1 day a week each in Limerick and Galway accounts. You must be able to commit to this territory resourcing requirement.

  • Enthusiastic and motivated self-starter with exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation & organisational skills with a real drive to succeed.
