Hotel Duty Manager
Sofitel Brisbane Central is seeking a reliable and engaging Duty Manager to join the team. As one of three Duty Managers, you will demonstrate the essence of creating an exceptional guest journey by managing the day-to-day hotel operations in this luxury hotel. During the evening and weekend shifts you will act as the responsible Manager, representing the hotel in the absence of senior management.
The Sofitel Brisbane Central is centrally located within the heart of Brisbane City. The hotel’s 416 elegantly appointed rooms and suites are complemented by the finest personal luxuries to make this one of Brisbane’s best accommodation experiences. The hotel features a number of exquisite and extravagant food & beverage outlets, two fitness centres, a Day Spa and fully flexible event spaces for up to 1100 delegates.

What you will be doing:
- Assist the Front Office Manager to lead and supervise the front office team and day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring service standards are followed
- Provide memorable, caring, friendly and engaging service
- Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying problem areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
- Ensure employees are informed daily about priorities to personalize service
- Review daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of VIPs, return guests and groups
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset
- Knowledge of all Rooms Division areas including Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping and Guest Services
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to lead by example
- Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) and First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
