Houseperson
The Housemen are responsible to maintain 5 Star, 5 Diamond cleanliness standards in accordance to Fairmont Hotels. They must ensure overall cleanliness of the guest’s rooms, hallways and public areas. Our Housekeeping team makes an impression on every guest by exuding a warm engaging service attitude.
Essential Job Functions
- Responding to all internal and external guests requests promptly in a courteous , professional manner
- Deliver all guests requests to the guest’s room within 15 minutes.
- High dust frames, mirrors and pictures, ceilings, moldings.
- Clean all vents
- Clean all walls and high dust
- Dust and clean furniture
- Remove sheers and launder as needed
- Bring Rollaway and Baby Cribs to the guest’s room
- Clean all patio furniture
- Sweep and mop the terraces
- Dust all electrical fixtures
- Maintain guest’s corridors
- Clean and wash all doors inside and outside
- Steam clean and/or extract all carpets
- Move furniture as needed
- Clean all guest room chandeliers
- Remove garbage for guest floors
- Report and turn in all lost and found items to HSKP Coordinator or Manager
- Clean all bathroom baseboards , doors , door frames and hinges
- Clean all bathroom grout, marble walls and floors
- Wash all glasses as needed in dishwasher
- Clean all window sills
- Vacuum hallway carpets and doormats
- Vacuum and clean all elevators tracks
- Sweep and mop all Exit staircases
- Restock linen closet with linen and amenities
- Assist room attendant with stripping of check out rooms
- Complete general cleaning quota on a daily basis
- Clean Butlers pantries
- Deliver supplies to Room Attendant
- Clean Staff locker room and restrooms on guests floors
- Clean and maintain exterior of the Hotel
- Collect recycles and comply with the Fairmont environmental program
- Complete guests request and other assigned tasks
- Perform other related duties as required and requested by supervisor or manager
- Adhere to Fairmont grooming standards at all times
- Comply with all hotel and departmental standards , policies and procedures
- Observe health and safety guidelines at all times
- Wear safety equipment and/or protection if required
Physical Requirements
- Carrying or lifting items up to 50 lbs
- Pushing or pulling items weighing approximately 200lbs
- Frequently standing , walking about the property
- Frequently bending, stooping , kneeling
- Capable to climb the ladder and perform tasks on higher level
Knowledge, Skills, Ability
- Strong team player , positive attitude , energetic
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours; work holidays and weekends
- Posses an eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Adapts to any changes with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform all above mentioned general and specific job duties
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness
- Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to approach all encounters with guests and employees in a professional, courteous and service-oriented manner
