Situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD, ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.

About the Role

As Houseperson, you will be a key member of Housekeeping and report to the Housekeeping Manager on Duty. Key duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Act as a “runner” to ensure smooth operation within Housekeeping Department.
• Carry out allocated cleaning duties, achieving established standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet guests needs and exceed their expectations        
• Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift. 
• Assist the Housekeeping team through the delivery of all hotel linen, chemicals, laundry, deliveries and heavy/lifting work.  

Skills and experience

• Genuine passion for Hospitality
• A positive can do & customer focused attitude
• Availability to work on a rotating roster
• Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous however not essential
• Ability to follow directions, perform tasks with attention to detail, speed accuracy, and follow-through.
• Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness
