Houseperson (PM Shift, Part Time)

The Houseperson is responsible to maintain luxury cleanliness standards in accordance to Fairmont Hotels.  They must ensure overall cleanliness of the guest’s rooms, hallways and public areas. Our Housekeeping team makes an impression on every guest by exuding a warm engaging service attitude.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:           

  • Being a team player in assisting the Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently
  • Offer professional, friendly and engaging service to all guests and responding timely to any special requests
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Respond timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items ie: cribs, cots, extra towels etc.
  • Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from Room Attendants’ carts and closets
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Other duties as assigned


Your experience and skills include:

  • Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience an asset
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming

 

Physical Aspects of Position: 
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
