ABB's High Voltage Products team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.

An integral part of the Division / BU Operational Excellence function, drive sustainable and transformational change in an identified area of the business. Combine technical knowledge with people and organizational skills to deliver operational improvements within the defined time frame.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for continually challenge conventional thinking and drive accountability for site or functional results and deployment.
  • Serve as change agent with the site leadership team and site employees
  • Lead site pre-analysis that includes base-lining operational and financial measurements
  • Responsible for preparing, deploying and monitoring leading operating model / Lighthouse deployment at a site
  • Leads and facilitates site communication, education and training
  • Coaches & mentors continuous improvement specialists within the business area
  • Teaches continues improvement thinking & leads many Kaizen events daily.

Your background

  • 7+ years of experience in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, materials management, quality and process improvements.
  • Track record of delivering breakthrough results impacting the bottom line.
  • Developing strategy and translating into actionable plans & driving sustainable change through influence, experience in challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology and driving improvements.
  • Leading teams through influence without authority, experience working with one of the following: Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System or similar, working knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma strategies and principles, conducting cycles of learning & kaizen events, clearly understands success factors, market requirements, threats and opportunities of supported business and markets, able to efficiently multi-task initiatives such as trainings, kaizens, follow up activities, reports etc.
  • Understands how to use process and organizational maturity assessments in a business / facility / site to prioritize improvement actions.
  • Able to effectively lead kaizen events to support business needs, effective communicator at various levels of the organization (from business leadership to employees on factory floor).
  • Project Management skills - Meets deadlines, follows up and escalates late actions, closes gaps before they become a problem. Provides updates to site leader on weekly basis on progress and must be able to develop training plans for the site and ensure 100% sustainment of all items, strong problem solving skills.
