User Experience Designer/Researcher
Our mission is to design software tools, workflows, and documentation to enable software developers to have great experiences in optimizing computing performance with Intel products. We're looking for user experience (UX) professionals with experience with a technical audience or computer science graduates with a human-compute interaction (HCI) background to join our team.
This position will provide opportunities to engage your skills in areas such as usability, journey mapping, workflow analysis, technical learning material, experience metrics, and user interface design. We work in cross-functional teams with innovators in UX, software architecture and development, and marketing. Responsible for applying Human Factors Engineering techniques and principles at all phases of product/technology development, including End-user profiling and application of market research. Requirements gathering and definition. Product concept formation and qualification. Rapid, iterative user interface design, simulation, evaluation. Usability planning, delivery, tracking and closure for software, and web projects. Formal evaluation and experimental methods for field and lab. HFEs at Intel act as design team members, lead UI evaluation efforts, partner effectively with other HFE groups and labs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A degree in HCI, psychology, design, or related field; alternatively, a degree in computer science or data science with coursework in HCI
- Experience with UX for a technical end-user audience (e.g., developers, administrators, designers), including interviews, research, usability testing, workflow design, and/or interaction design
- Experience with any software coding tools, including Web, maker tools, analytics tools
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis experience
- Experience with a wireframe prototyping tool
- High tolerance for a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with designers, tech writers, technical leads, or business leads
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in human-computer interaction, psychology, or related field
- Moderate proficiency in development with at least 1 programming language
- High proficiency with a wireframe prototyping tool
- Experience with end-to-end product design
- 2+ years of UX work for a technical user audience, including interviews, usability testing, workflow design, and interaction design
- 2+ years of experience with Web-based UI usability and design
- Experience with large dataset analysis and Web analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Products
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
