Role Summary: HR Functional rotational program created to focus on developing leadership skills of professional level talent for future leadership opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities: GE’s HRLP is a two-year rotational program composed of 3 rotations in different areas of the function and the business to allow you to constantly challenge yourself. While on program, you will receive in-class and virtual training to aid in your development, have opportunities to lead and participate in impactful projects, and network with senior HR leaders across the globe. When you join HRLP, you join a global community of HR professionals spanning diverse industries who have a passion to innovate and a strong desire to make a difference. The program is divided into three eight-month rotations, with assignments in areas including: HR generalist, employee relations, or specialist roles such as compensation and benefits, recruitment, or organizational design as well as cross business, cross functional, or global experiences. Your experience will be unique and personalized based on your interests, competencies, and business needs. The responsibility and autonomy you are provided will empower you to make business-shaping decisions.

GE is a revered leader for employee training and development. The cornerstones of the HRLP experience are the global, week-long seminars. During the two in-person and one virtual seminars, you will work with your HRLP peers from around the world, in partnership with senior HR and business leaders. Seminars focus on formal learning, business simulations, community service, and networking. In addition, you will spend a week on our Crotonville, NY campus attending Activating Your Leadership Journey training where you will meet members of our engineering, finance, operations, digital technology leadership programs. The course prepares you to excel as a leader by helping you discover your individual leadership style and personal brand, understand GE’s unique culture of innovation and performance, and personally connect with GE’s mission.

Just as the individual, experiences of every HRLP on program will vary based on individual goals and aspirations, the roles that HRLPs take once they complete the program are as equally varied. Whether the role is generalist or specialist, working in a manufacturing site or a corporate office, one thing is certain — through HRLP, you will have gained the skills and network to take on a challenging role in the business that will help you advance in your career as an HR professional.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Master’s Degree focusing on business, liberal arts, or human resources disciplines (e.g., industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior, finance, accounting, law) and a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0, with max. 2 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with max. 4 years of experience in industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior, finance, accounting, or law.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, project management skills, and organization skills
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, research skills, and business acumen
  • Unyielding integrity
  • Must be geographically mobile (locations vary based on REN China businesses, specially main sites like Qinhuangdao, Shenyang and Tianjin)
