The Human Resources Manager will support the North Charleston manufacturing facility with approximately 130 employees. The role will report directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Division HR Manager-FMC.
The primary responsibility of this position: develop, implement and coordinate the application of established human resource policies and systems, and ensures compliance with all elements of the Eaton Values & Philosophy and Ethics Policy.
- People - Champions and actively participates in the facilitation of the following initiatives for the facility: Eaton Values and Philosophy, Ethics, Inclusion & Diversity, Performance Management, Talent Reviews, etc.
- Health and Safety - Acts as a champion and actively participates in the following environmental health and safety initiatives: MESH, and other safety / environmental programs established for the facility to ensure a safe work environment.
- Quality – Champions and actively participates in the following quality initiatives / programs: Eaton Quality System (EQS), AS9100, and etc.
- Plant Performance - Collaborates in the development and execution of facility profit plan objectives and balanced scorecards.
- Develop and deploy HR strategies to manage talent, drive the culture, and align the organization for the plant.
- Ensure the talent pipeline for the future, assess and select talent, and coach managers on the process.
- Design and deliver local HR practices that create and maintain the desired culture.
- Oversee plant communication processes; serve as champion of change management.
- Use assessment tools and metrics to diagnose organizational issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Identify the learning, training, and development needs of the organization and deploy effective training plans.
- Counsel and influence leadership to build a high-performance winning culture and an inclusive environment.
- Use coaching skills to influence behavior and business decisions to be consistent with the values and ethical standards.
- Perform investigations and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure effective deployment of performance management systems and coach managers on the process.
- Develops, maintains, monitors, and ensures compliance with governmental regulations pertaining to the following: Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and etc.
- Coaches and consults with managers and supervisors to assist with the implementation and administration of employee relations issues and effective human resource processes in their area.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Organizational Development or Business Administration
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.
•Specialized knowledge in Human Resource administration, labor law, AAP/EEO compliance etc.
•PHR/SPHR
•5+ years of Human Resources experience
•Experience in a matrix organization
•Project management skills with a track record for success
•Experience in employee relations in non-union environment
