What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for supporting Human Resource strategies and deliver effective customer service focused HR service to the Swiss Hub.  Your tasks and deliverables will include the following:

  • Implement HR policies and practices so that present and future requirements are met effectively
  • Support respective client groups
  • Improve team effectiveness through HR influence
  • Conduct HR programs such as orientation, recruiting events, employee relations meetings, talent management as well as mobilize staff through alignment initiatives and motivational programs
  • Coordinate on-boarding, hiring and payroll processes
  • Support performance management processes
  • Monitor and ensures compliance with local labor laws: monitors local regulations, reviews work contracts, implements status changes
  • Ensure accurate and compliant pay (including payroll) and benefits administration
  • Conduct annual competitive benchmarking analysis and other HR reports for the site
  • Develop supervisors to improve their management capabilities 
  • Facilitate training and development; may teach in-house courses
  • Implement and ensures a clear, shared understanding of HR procedures/policies
  • Build and maintain knowledge of Amgen’s products, therapeutic areas, markets, and business-financial model
  • Understand key business processes to ensure HR initiatives add value to Amgen’s local and regional business goals

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. What we seek in you as an experienced  professional, are these qualifications and skills:

  • University Degree in Psychology, Sociology, HR, Business Administration, or similar degree; legally equivalent experience
  • Solid previous experience covering a variety of functions such as rewards, staffing, training, employee relations
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not a requirement
  • Multinational company experience in a matrixed environment
  • Multiple language capabilities
