The Organizational Effectiveness Lead – Amgen Commercial will report directly to Amgen’s Vice President of Human Resources supporting Amgen Global Commercial teams and will interact regularly with Amgen’s Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations and his Senior Leadership Team. That Team oversees over 10,000 employees and 100 HR professionals in 70+ countries, including North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. This role will also work very closely with other senior Commercial HR Business Partners and with Amgen’s HR Centers of Excellence to drive business performance and HR process maximization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the VP of HR and his senior team on core processes including Talent Measurement, Performance Management, and Workforce Strategy.
• Partner with Global HRBPs in the support of acquisitions, restructurings, and operational excellence activities
• Translate Commercial global HR needs into inputs for HR COE partners (Compensation & Benefits, Talent, Development, Diversity, etc.) and partner with COE’s in deploying new HR programs globally
• Lead metrics strategy and partner with Commercial clients and HR to interpret data, apply judgment and suggest necessary course of action for resolution
• Lead intra- and cross-functional HR initiatives and passionate about staff development and retention
• Support communication and engagement planning for global Commercial talent and organizational changes
• Facilitate working sessions with Amgen’s Commercial leadership team on HR topics spanning talent, workforce strategy, and other imperatives

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Human Resources experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Human Resources experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or MBA
• Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and organizational change
• Ability to interact, influence and build relationships with all levels of staff, management, and executives
• Ability to analyze situations and exercise sound judgment in determining appropriate courses of action
• Ability to understand client needs and develop both strategic and tactical solutions to tangible business challenges
• Strong quantitative, analytical (technical and business) and problem-solving skills
• Persistent, tactful, and persuasive team and project leadership, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneously
• Solid knowledge of breadth of HR roles, both COE and HRBP
• Solid verbal and written communication combined with organizational skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
• Experience working with cross functional global teams in a matrixed organization
• Experience working in Excel, PowerPoint, and other core platforms
