Eaton’s Industrial division is currently seeking a Tester on 2nd shift to join our team. The position is based at our Searcy, AR facility. Position Overview: To insure all products are tested, passed and identified by stamping of the products. When products does not meet the test procedure requirements, it’s the tester job to reject, repair and note the problem with proper notation. This will insure the first pass yield data is correct. In this function you will: Maintain test procedure manual and keep up with ISO standards. Responsible for mechanical and/or electrical inspection, testing of complicated valve systems, or for electrical/electronic inspection, test of standard complicated involved apparatus, gear having precise and reliability performance standards requiring a knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles, inspection and testing. Coordinates activities with Quality Control Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to carry out inspection, testing and procedures. Make decisions as to acceptable quality, determine reasons for rejects and malfunctions, and recommend methods of correcting such deviations. Apply prescribed inspection methods and standardized devices to inspect sub- assemblies, check tolerances, motion and activity relationship, speeds, feeds, capabilities and other mechanical requirements pertinent to product design and/or perform layout and machine shop inspection on large parts or small highly precise work having exacting dimensional tolerances and finish requirements. Apply prescribed inspection methods and standardized testing devices to energize and test electrical/electronic units, sub-assemblies and final assemblies to determine performance quality and operational reliability as to circuitry, capacities, calibrations, operations of sensor, switches, timing and signal devices, control modules, etc Apply prescribed inspection methods and standardized testing devices to energize and test electrical/electronic units, subassemblies and final assemblies to determine performance quality and operational reliability as to circuitry, capacities, calibrations, operations of sensors, switches, timing and signal devices, control modules, etc. Perform mechanical or electrical inspection and check, utilizing prescribed methods, techniques and standardized inspection instruments and testing devices to inspect machined and fabricated parts, units and sub-assemblies for tolerances, finish requirements and operating quality where skills, techniques and knowledge of inspection procedures may be acquired by on-the- job training and experience. Work from complex drawings and specifications. Employee must follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Searcy will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
