Position:MYP English Group Leader Job Description
I. Leadership and Management
Work as the member of the MYP pedagogical team under the direct leadership of the MYP
coordinator, and regularly report the subject group implementation to the MYP coordinator.
Organize subject group teachers to make curriculum as required.Provide professional guidance to the subject group teachers to ensure that the teaching and learning meets the requirements of MYP implementation and meets the teaching aims and objectives of the MYP subject group.
Ensure that the subject group follows and implements MYP policies during the process of
implementation.
Participate in the relevant training assigned or organized by the school, and regularly evaluate and guide the teachers of the subject group to achieve outstanding teaching and learning outcomes and promote the professional development of teachers. Organize teachers in the group to participate in teaching and research activities among divisions, schools, groups and IB community schools.
Ensure the subject teaching and learning meet the requirements. Organize to plan, collect and provide all kinds of evidences needed within subject group for MYP authorization.

II. Teaching and Learning
Organize regular collaborative planning and reflection to develop and improve the
implementation of subject and keep relevant meeting minutes and other evidences.
Organize regular curriculum review and revision of the subject course overview to meet the latest requirements of MYP implementation and relevant requirements of local education authorities.
Develop and coordinate the assessment strategy on unit teaching and formulate and improve the internal assessment criteria and assessment procedure within the group; Organize mid- term and final exams according to the arrangement of division; Complete each assessment report as required to meet the assessment policy of MYP.
Select and provide multiple teaching resources according to the course overview to support
subject unit teaching
Regularly make walk-through class observation to ensure all the subject teaching and learning
to meet the MYP requirements.
Organize teaching reflection according to IB ATT and MYP standards and practices.

III. Contribution to the School Community
Organize subject teachers to participate in parents-school communication activities including different kinds of parents conferences, demo class for enrollment, student interview, marketing promotion activity etc., which aims to promote school brand and curriculum practice to attract suitable and potential students.

Organize subject teachers to create a stimulating learning environment for teaching and
learning.
Organize subject teachers to join and guide students to participate in school festivals, theme
festivals and other activities.
Plan and organize at least 2 activities that embody the subject characteristics and involved all
students into the activity.
Plan and organize subject theme activities, environment decoration, and cultural decoration to form subject features.
