Job Description
Deputy Principal – Secondary (MYP / IGCSE / DP)

Start：Fall 2026
Job Purpose
• Lead teaching and learning across the Secondary School (MYP / IGCSE / DP), ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery and strong student academic outcomes.
• Uphold the academic rigour and integrity of the IBDP programme.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related subject area (Master's preferred).
• Recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.
• At least 5–8 years of secondary teaching experience, with clear leadership responsibilities (e.g., Head of Department or programme coordinator).
• Experience teaching or leading IB MYP and/or DP, with solid understanding of IB curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.
• Experience with IBDP assessment and moderation is highly desirable.
• Ability to use student performance data to drive academic progress and school improvement.
• Capacity to ensure coherent curriculum progression, particularly the transition from MYP to DP.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and develop Heads of Department and teaching staff.
• Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
• Results-driven approach, with a focus on student achievement and university destinations.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Leadership
• Promote excellence in teaching and academic outcomes across the Secondary School.
• Supervise the delivery of the IBDP and IGCSE programmes.
Curriculum & Assessment
• Ensure coherent curriculum articulation from MYP to DP.
• Oversee IB assessment and moderation processes.
Student Outcomes
• Analyse student data to inform and drive improvement strategies.
• Support university admissions outcomes.
Staff Leadership
• Lead Heads of Department and teaching staff.
• Foster professional development and instructional improvement.
Teaching Duties
• Undertake a reduced teaching load, potentially within IGCSE or IBDP programmes.
• Model high academic standards and effective teaching strategies through classroom practice.
• Connect classroom practice with academic leadership to enhance programme quality and student learning outcomes.
