Job Description
Visual Art Teacher Recruitment Requirements (IB MYP)
1. Bachelor‘s degree or above in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or related fields. Master‘s degree and overseas art school background preferred.
2. Solid artistic foundation with the ability to teach a variety of media and techniques. Familiar with the IB MYP Arts framework. Able to design inquiry units integrating Global Contexts and Key Concepts, and proficient in the four MYP assessment criteria (A/B/C/D). Capable of independently developing MYP Unit Plans.
3.Valid teaching certification required; IB official training certification (MYP Category 1/2/3) preferred.
4. Native-level English proficiency, capable of delivering instruction entirely in English and composing all teaching documentation in English.
5. Minimum 3 years of visual arts teaching experience, with 1+ year in an IB MYP school preferred. Experience in interdisciplinary teaching, student art exhibitions, and extracurricular art activities is a plus.
6. Committed to the IB philosophy. Understands the developmental characteristics of students aged 11–16 and is able to design age-appropriate lessons that inspire creativity. Demonstrates responsibility, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication skills.
