Our Primary School division is now seeking an experienced and visionary IB PYP Academic Director to lead and inspire our academic community.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), ensuring alignment with IB philosophy, school-wide goals, and the developmental needs of young learners
• Lead curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on transdisciplinary learning, inquiry-based pedagogy, and conceptual understanding
• Supervise, support, and mentor primary school teachers to enhance instructional quality, reflective practice, and professional growth
• Oversee assessment practices, including the development of authentic, developmentally appropriate assessments and the documentation of student learning, ensuring alignment with PYP standards and practices
• Coordinate with the Principal, grade-level leaders, and the IB Coordinator to ensure program consistency, vertical articulation with the MYP, and a seamless K-12 learning journey
• Manage internal and external IB evaluations, authorization, and review processes specific to the PYP
• Lead professional development initiatives focused on inquiry-based learning, transdisciplinary teaching, early childhood education, and instructional leadership within the PYP framework
Qualifications & Requirements
• Mandatory: Proven IB PYP classroom teaching experience
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an IB PYP school
