Our international kindergarten in Guangzhou is a candidate / authorized IB World School delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) through a bilingual, inquiry-led approach. Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced IB PYP Early Years Teacher to join our team for an October–December 2026 start. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of the PYP framework, a child-centered philosophy, and the ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences for young learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver IB PYP-aligned inquiry units for children aged 2–6
Create a nurturing, stimulating, and language-rich learning environment
Collaborate with co-teachers and single-subject teachers to integrate transdisciplinary learning
Document and assess student learning using PYP assessment strategies
Maintain strong partnerships with parents through regular communication and conferences
Contribute to curriculum development, school events, and the IB authorization/continuation process
Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times
Requirements
Native-level English proficiency (from UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand)
Bachelor’s degree or above in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Valid teaching license/certification (QTS, PGCE, Teaching License, etc.)
Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in an IB PYP Early Years setting
Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, play pedagogy, and concept-driven teaching
Familiarity with IB documentation, planners, and the ATL/ATT framework
Open-minded, collaborative, and adaptable to life in China
Clean criminal background check
What We Offer
Monthly salary: Up to 28,000 RMB (pre-tax), depending on qualifications and experience
