Job Description
We are looking for excellent Homeroom Teacher for a school in Zhuji city, Zhejiang, China.
It is a one school year contract starts in Feb. 2022
Salary Range:23000~25000RMB per month
Job Scope
The role of the IB Primary Years Teacher (Grade 1 – 6) is essentially to build and maintain a successful Primary Years Programme (PYP) within the school by providing an educational atmosphere conductive to learning and developing through the process of inquiry. The Teacher will be responsible for teaching the following subjects:
• Group 2: Language Acquisition: English
• Group 3: Science, Individuals and Societies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Take responsibility for a primary class, supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic of all children in that class
• Design, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to suit the individual needs of all students in line with the PYP
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can see success and improve
• Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
• Communicate accurately and regularly with parents
• Liaise with the Head of Primary School and PYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
• Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences
• Maintain constant awareness of the needs of children to whom English is a second language
Qualifications
(Essential for China Work Permit)
• Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree in relevant/specialist subject area
• ESL/EAL qualification and experience
• CLIL experience
• Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent
Qualified Teacher Status in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, UK or USA
Skills/Experience
• Mother tongue or near-native fluency in English
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in your subject area of expertise
Prior IB training is required before starting—at minimum Category 1 level
Compensation and Benefits
• Compensation up to 25,000-30,000 RMB/month, depending on experience
• Students, parents, teachers, and administrators are united in a commitment to top quality international education
• The following will be provided to teachers working at HFLS:
o Free furnished apartment on campus
o Full pay for the Chinese Spring Festival holiday
o Flight reimbursement for the 1st year; 12500 RMB from the 2nd year on
Contract Length
1 or 2 years, depending on mutual agreement between the candidate and the department leader
