We are seeking an outstanding and passionate Secondary IB Diploma Programme English A Language & Literature Teacher to join our esteemed international school community. Key Responsibilities
Deliver a comprehensive English A Language & Literature programme tailored to individual and group student needs
Develop and refine English curriculum documentation, unit plans, and assessment tasks for relevant courses
Prepare teaching aids and resources thoroughly, employing diverse and innovative teaching strategies to actively engage students and ensure the achievement of learning objectives.
Design meaningful student assignments, provide timely and constructive feedback, and employ effective formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate learning outcomes.
Maintain regular, clear, and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, performance, and well-being.
Actively engage in collaborative teaching and planning with both Chinese and international colleagues, within the English department and across disciplines.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development by engaging in self-reflection, peer observation, and relevant training to drive improvement.
Serve as a positive role model for students through exemplary classroom teaching and active participation in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
Attend all meetings convened by the Academic Supervisor or School Principal punctually and contribute positively.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., UK QTS/PGCE, US state license, or equivalent national certification).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Literature, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
Experience
A minimum of two years of full-time English teaching experience at the secondary level.
Proven experience teaching IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme courses is highly preferred, with specific expertise in IB DP English A Language & Literature (Higher Level or Standard Level).
Experience in an international school or multicultural educational setting is strongly desirable.
