Job Description

The Ref Data Mgmt Mgr provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Exercises full leadership and supervisory responsibility over Operations Support department typically consisting of multiple teams.
  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for staffing, pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
  • Determines hiring to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Recommends new work procedures with broader scope of impact. Deals with variable (occasionally complex) issues with substantial potential impact.
  • Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.
  • Responsible for supervising and providing leadership to the Ref Data Mgmt. team.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; ability to negotiate with external parties.
  • 5-8 years of experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Program Management Office (PMO) Lead  – Institutional Clients Group Operations and Technology (ICG O&T) Cross-Asset Regulatory Program Group

Seeking a seasoned professional with 5+ years of proven track record of PMO or Program/Portfolio Management within the Technology, Banking or Consultancy industry. In this fast paced environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details, you will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills. Documentation preparation & review, strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall/Traditional, Agile & Hybrid) required.

Job Background/Context

ICG O&T Cross-Asset Regulatory Program Group is a front to back Operations and Technology team that works with our Institutional Client Group business and technology to deliver global Regulatory and Compliance projects and programs across all Capital Markets Asset Groups. It an exciting and fast-paced group to work in, with a broad and varied portfolio across the financial services regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Establish best practices and Citi approved PPM procedures at organization PMO level
  • Support the Program Manager to ensure delivery of projects in accordance with Citi’s SDLC procedures which include many regulatory and compliance mandates
  • Manage release cycles, write project documentation and other project admin related tasks
  • Project coordination for several areas within the ICG O&T program/project portfolio
  • Assist technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio of programs and projects
  • Managing several project metrics – Gantt / burn charts and associated KPIs periodically
  • Enforce a culture of SDLC best practices across the technology group
  • Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures
  • Continue to update and improve project methodologies, provide mentoring and training to other PM’s and act as an SME
  • Organize and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project
  • Liaise with a range of teams from COO, Technology Central Business Office, Technology Leads, and Management Office team, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals
  • Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards and scorecards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders
  • Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects
  • Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summaries, defend and present recommendation
