International Information and Engineering Technology Association (IIETA, official website: www.iieta.org) is a scholarly society headquartered in Edmonton, Canada. IIETA publishes ten-plus academic journals, covering fields like engineering, information technology, mathematics, earth sciences etc.

IIETA Beijing Office now needs a managing editor to take charge of journal activities.

Position: Full-time Managing Editor

Location: Beijing

Duties:
1. Assist with the manuscript peer review and tracking system and ensure author, editor & reviewer compliance at all stages from peer review through to the transfer of accepted articles to the Publisher.
2. Keep track of journal indexing process, to help IIETA journals be indexed by more and more influential databases around the world.
3. Call for papers for IIETA journals.
4. Manage timeline and deadline adherence. Work with team to ensure that tracking systems for various jobs are kept up to date and accurate.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to plan upcoming communications requests, such as support for international conferences, major training programs and branding, website design, and developing materials for various program initiatives.
6. Be responsible for proofreading and language polishing.

Qualifications:
1. English-native speaker who can speak basic Chinese.
2. Bachelor’s degree and above, preferably in engineering, information technology, mathematics, earth sciences etc.
3. Excellent interaction and team-working skills; approachable and friendly manner.
4. Ability to work independently; good at organizing and prioritizing own work.
5. Flexible and analytical; positive at problem solving
6. Competent with Microsoft Office; comfortable with learning new systems.
7. Preferred experience includes publishing, proofreading, language polishing, editing, etc.

Salaries: Negotiation, 13000-20000 CNY/month.
