Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.
As an Import/Export Specialist at Micron Memory Taiwan Co., Ltd., you will be responsible for handling the importing and exporting items and Monitor the transportation (Freight and local truck ) of each shipment . In addition, you will submit the report to government as necessary and look over the freight cost and provide import and export guidance.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Handing the importing and exporting items: Identify Taiwan(TW) importing and exporting shipments and review the documents for accuracy and compliance and provide the instruction to TW Customs brokers; Check Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) number and Export Control Classification Number(ECCN) Codes for products and apply the related license as necessary; Verify the Data in SAP system and Store importing and exporting documents in an electronic file;Submit ,monitor the SAP program of import and export data;Provide support to Internal people of import and export shipment and assist in goods controlled for handbook process;Keep current and continue to learn import and export knowledge.Liaise with global transportation carriers and local transportation to meet internal customers(for example transit time, service, and special instruction); Collaborate with and advise internal customers (for example, Planning, Purchasing, Engineer) on logistics requirements(for example, delivery/on dock date (ODD), and investigation/disposition);Collaborate with overseas counterparts on day-to-day logistics operational issues;
Submit the report to government as necessary: Submit the imported records on Energy Efficiency Indicators Reporting system by each month; Check the import and export declaration data on Tradevan Web
Provide Import and Export Guidance: Communicate issues to internal and external customers to prevent shipment delays; Request information from internal and external customers to complete TW Customs import entries and global export compliance; Monitor delayed shipments and respond as necessary; Answer import- and export-related questions; Flexible to be trained in other logistics functions as needed
