Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet and currently employs over 3,800 Team Members. The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Essential Functions:
Team Startup Battery Production USA plans to produce batteries in US.
- The main task is supporting of the project and the start up in the overall structure of the new battery project
- Facilitating project timelines, analysis and general administrative tasks, Process improvement initiatives, prepare and organize project workshops
- Generation of results for start-up management
- Coordination function with other departments (Logistics, Quality, IT, etc.)
Education:
Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
- Fluent in German and English (oral/written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- IT-Knowledge
- Strong Organization and communication skills
- Commitment
- Self-contained ability to team
Preferred Start date:
February/March 2020
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in University
- At least 3 semesters enrolled in a relevant field of study
- Available for a minimum of 6 months
