Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc.VanceUpdate time: April 21,2020
Job Description

Mercedes-Benz: Building Exceptional Vehicles… and Careers!

The best chapters in Alabama’s automotive success story are yet to come. The Mercedes-Benz automobile of the future will be different: greener, more efficient, safer, and even more fascinating. Only one thing will never change – It will wear a star.

MBUSI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler North America Holding Corporation, a holding company which, in turn, is wholly owned and controlled by Daimler AG (DAG), the largest company in Germany. Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet. MBUSI currently employs over 3,700 Team Members, and will add another 600 jobs to Alabama’s economy as part of its recent announcement of a $2 billion expansion to prepare the plant to build electric vehicles, as well as to construct a battery plant and expand its logistics activities for supply of worldwide markets.

The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The next generation of SUVs launched in 2018. They will include models with a plug-in hybrid drive system. In the future, electric SUVs of the product and technology brand EQ will roll off the assembly line there as well. In addition, a battery factory is being built near Tuscaloosa’s existing vehicle plant. The facility in Alabama is thus part of the global battery production network of Mercedes-Benz cars, which has locations on three continents. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is committed to excellence and actively promotes teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement within its organization. Our Team Members share a common goal to always be the best premium auto manufacturer in North America.
