Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet and currently employs over 3,800 Team Members. The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Essential Functions:
- Recruiting and application process for international interns (e.g. create online job advertisements and manage applications, conduct interviews, create offer letters, etc.)
- Actively use and administer HR software
- Close cooperation with all departments at MBUSI
- Support interns with visa process (alignment with visa sponsors and direct contact to US authorities)
- Onboarding (e.g. support on first day, setup as new employees, etc.)
- Act as HR contact partner for past, current and future interns regarding all HR topics (e.g.employment matters, taxes, payroll, etc.)
- Create budget overview for all international interns at MBUSI
- Offboarding (e.g. conduct exit interviews, create letters of recommendation, etc.)
- Support HR business at MBUSI
- Support operations during MBUSI new hire assessment centers
- Assist International HR Specialists in daily work
- Plan, organize and implement HR projects
- Work permit management for MBUSI travelers
- Act as the interface to Daimler AG Germany and our VISA/relocation service provider regarding Business Travelers from MBUSI
- Prepare project approvals for international projects
- Clarify work status in alignment with external service provider
- Prepare work permits and submit to external service provider
Education:
Student in: Business Management, Human Resource Management or other related area
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
- Fluent in English (oral/written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

- Team oriented and self-reliant
- Good communication and organization skills
- Distinctive interpersonal skills
- Interculturally interested

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between bachelor and master’s study
- At least (3) semesters of studies in relevant field of study
- Available for a minimum of 7 months
- Studies outside of the U.S.A.
