Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet and currently employs over 3,800 Team Members. The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Essential Functions:
Team Project(s) and regular daily tasks / assignments
- Support investigations and evaluations (noise, chassis, interior topics)
- Support new model launch
- Technical project support (NVH measurements, torque measurements, workshop organization, wheel alignment or active suspension)
- Preparation of project documents (excel sheets, power point presentations etc.)
- Preparation of vehicles: communication with several departments and organization of transportation
- Static and dynamic testing
Education:
Student in: Engineering
Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
• Student in Engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Power point)
• Team oriented, good verbal communication skills and self-reliant
• Preferred automotive knowledge
• Driver license is required
Preferred Start Date
October 2020
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between bachelor and master’s study
- At least 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
- Available for a minimum of 6 months
- Studies outside of the U.S.A
