Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet and currently employs over 3,800 Team Members. The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Essential Functions:

- Support Action Management by tracking daily progress.

- Increase vehicle output by interacting with other departments and facilitating solutions.

- Support daily rework activities by aligning vehicle and part available.

- Track action progress by using MS Office tools: Create and maintain the “big picture” overview.

Optional for Software Engineer: Support the team by developing MS Office solutions. In need of several complex, VBS script based tools for daily activities
 

Qualifications:

Education:

Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance/Controlling, Supply Chain Management, IT/Software Engineering

 

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

- Fluent in English (oral/written)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

- Experience in timeline tracking and creation

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Proven time management and project management skills.

- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (high importance).

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Ability to work autonomously and interact with a number of different departments independently


Optional: Programming skills.

 

Preferred Start Date

June 2020

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree

- A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study

- Available for a minimum of 6 months

- Studies outside of the U.S.A.
