Located in Vance, Alabama, the MBUSI facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, comprised of over 6 million square feet and currently employs over 3,800 Team Members. The MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa is the traditional home of SUV production for the current GLE, GLE coupé, and GLS model series. Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the North American market. The plant in Alabama was the first major Mercedes-Benz production facility outside Germany and is regarded as the nucleus of the automotive industry in Alabama.

Essential Functions:
Team Project(s) and regular daily tasks / assignments
- Getting to know the assembly from body to the finished customer vehicle

- Accompaniment of the vehicle body in the central qualification band

- Independent processing of smaller projects

- Processing, evaluating and analyzing key figures (quality, program, costs) and deriving action fields

- Implementation and controlling of measures

- Establishment of a network to the other assembly areas national / international as well as to the development and the start-up factory

Education:


Student in: Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering


Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
- Fluent in German and English (oral and written)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

- Driver's license




Preferred Skills:

- IT-Knowledge
- Strong Organization and communication skills
- Commitment
- Self-contained ability to team



Preferred Start Date
October  2020



Requirements

- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between bachelor and master’s study

- At least 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study

- Available for a minimum of 6 months

- Studies outside of the U.S.A
