主要职责

• Manage and prosecute docket of multiple patent portfolios
• span>
• Communicate with research and development teams regarding identification and development of IP supporting new products.
• span>
• Advise commercial teams on all aspects of pharmaceutical, regulatory and patent law, including exclusivity periods, potential launch dates, etc.
• span>
• Manage external counsel, including work product, budgets, and invoices.
• span>
• Support other team members in IP due diligence evaluation and IP-related transaction, use patent search results in patent preparation, filing and prosecution.
• span>
• Manage and use public and commercial patent database and search engine (e.g. Patbase, Google patent, SIPO database, Espacenet, PATENTSCOPE, GenomeQuest) to Identify and analyze third party patent portfolio
• span>
• Collect competitive Intelligence and make analysis
• span>
• Perform other duties as assigned.

职位要求

• Strong knowledge of China, US and foreign patent office procedures and practice.

• Familiarity with Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and related regulations.
• span>
• Minimum 3 years of experience prosecuting patent applications and IP counseling with a law firm or in-house within a pharmaceutical company.

• Computer operations and software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• span>
• Substantial experience in domestic and foreign patent prosecution, as well as European opposition practice.
• span>
• Experience in a wide range of IP matters in areas including patent origination and drafting, freedom to operate, patentability, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, licensing, and internal processes around IP development.
• Experience in IP due diligence and IP related transactions, skilled in searching antibody and other biological related subjects, biosequence similarity searches experiences

? Problem solving skills in constructing and conducting patent searches using various search engines, critical thinking skills to analyze found results and completing a search report.

? Self-motivated to work effectively and efficiently.

• Experience with IP development of large molecules preferred.

• Possession of at least a B.S. degree in Biology, Medicine, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical-related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred.

• Possession of a Juris Doctorate (JD) from a major accredited Law School or equivalent credentials preferred.

? Familiarity with DNA/RNA/peptide materials, including structure, terms, and sequences a plus.

? Understanding of antibody, antigen, biosimilars, epitope, antibody discovery platforms, biologics terms and principles a plus.
