Job Summary The primary function of the IPO Professional Services Global Category Manager for Human Resources is to partner with our Corp HR stakeholders to design and shape Global strategy and a Regional approach where appropriate. Achieve the KPIs defined in the Profit Plan for the Categories (Category 1 savings, DPO, Supplier reduction, etc...). Responsible to manage the categories including supplier sourcing, contracting, contract management, and supplier performance management in compliance with Eaton’s policies and procedures that meet the company’s goals and objectives. Also drive continuous improvement. The sourcing spend responsibility is up to $100M The Category Manager will be responsible to manage the development of commodity strategies in collaboration with the regional Indirect/Professional Services team and key stakeholders which satisfy business requirements. Regular functional stakeholder reviews are key elements of the internal relationship management. Responsible to manage the designated categories utilizing the IPO strategic sourcing and supplier management process. Responsible to aggregate and leverage regional and global spend. Responsible to develop supplier contracts and supplier relationships that maximize value and minimize risk for Eaton ensuring compliant use of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), alignement with Global Data Protection Reglementation (GDPR). This will be achieved through the deployment of appropriate assessment framework on data management and security Data Protection Assessment (DPA) and Vendor Risk Assessment (VRA). Responsible for the maintenance and reporting of cost out via GPS (Global Procurement Sharepoint) and Cost Out Database (CODB). Manage and report SPIR’s (Supplier Price Increase Requests). Monthly reporting via SCM Whitebook. Job Responsibilities Deliver on KPI's/Goals ie. Category 1 savings, DPO, Supplier reduction). Develop the skills of the wider regional team (Category Managers and Program support associate) This role will serve as a subject matter expert in the defined categories and will establish and build internal relationships with Corporate and regional stakeholders to clearly understand material and service requirements. Lead the supplier market analysis and ensure supplier qualifications for RFQ’s which demonstrate TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for Eaton. Lead and assist supplier negotiations for the business on requirements, commercial terms and conditions. Build performance based supplier relationships that lead to optimal pricing, quality improvements, process improvements and delivery of world class solutions. Communicate with SCM and Corporate on supplier value propositions and supplier performance metrics which enable continuous improvement initiatives and actions. Develop reporting metrics and alignment with functional areas to ensure the cost savings and cost mitigation related to sourcing and supplier management activities are appropriatly recognized in terms of financial performance. Develop thorough master services contracts in accordance with regulatory and legal department’s requirements. Navigate challenging situations, win concessions without damaging relationships, and settle internal and external differences with a minimum of conflict, while being forceful, diplomatic and gaining trust and respect. Promote and educate businesses and employees about the use of preferred suppliers and consolidation of our supplier base. Assess new trends in the industry for the defined categories Qualifications Qualifications Education level required Master degree: Engineering, Business administration Years and area of experience required '10+ years in SCM Technical knowledge • Possess knowledge of the various HR sub categories: Salary & Compensation, Inclusion & Diversity, Employee and Executive Assessments, Employee engagement, Leadership development, Eaton Univeristy, Recruitment (including Executive), Consultants, HR Technology, Ethics and Compliance etc.. • Excellent SCM sourcing and supplier relationship management process and deployment knowledge • Strong experience in complex project management including at a minimum regional scope and cross-functional coordination, ideally global. • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to influence a large and diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, engineers, operations, finance and supply chain management personnel. • Strong negotiation skills, knowledge, and experience • Expertise in negotiating/interpreting legal terms and conditions • Desktop analytics (Excel and Powerpoint skills) • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks globally • Demonstrated leadership capabilities required • Presentation skills essential • +A6 Soft skills • Ability and willingness to objectively tackle complex high-level operational challenges using a practical combination of traditional and innovative methods. • Strategic (macro) perspective when analyzing trends or planning for the future. • Professional presence with the confidence and leadership ability to convey need and vision at all levels. • Strong collaborative bias towards recognizing and assembling the right team to accomplish objectives. • Self-directing, self-motivated • Global mindset, systematic thinking • Strategic thinker and results oriented • Skilled in extended-team management and able to drive consensus decisions globally Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
