What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will work with the Global Commercial Operations Digital Technology and Innovation (GCO DTI) Product Team that develops Mobile applications, Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD), and other software products.

  • Develops documentation and training around processes, newly implemented technologies, and strategies in the Agile product delivery model.
  • Provide analysis to mobile platform roadmaps with inputs from important partners in business and technology teams.
  • Play an important role in gathering, documenting, and presenting requirements to ensure product deliverables meet user expectations - work closely with multi-functional collaborators to evaluate business drivers and technology requirements to help define software requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate with development teams, commercial, vendors, operations, sales marketing, legal, safety, to lend clarification and support to requirements definition at all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Follow Amgen’s governance processes, procedures, specifications, design controls, and applicable compliance standards and guidance documents.
  • Execute regulatory and legal processes associated with each release.
  • Understanding quality control and quality assurance to develop test plans in partnership with IS, QA, and business teams.
  • Design flows for User Experience (UX) and interfaces for custom applications.
  • A broad understanding of web and mobile UI standards, usability, along with practical experience in design and development.
  • Motivate, inspire, and educate multi-functional partners across the organization to engage with design thinking and best UX practices.
  • Be a leader for change and process improvements.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to quickly adjust in a dynamic environment, manage multiple releases at the same level of detail.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, internal partners, external partners, and executive management.
  • Prior experience with drafting test plans, test protocols, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios as well as owning Requirements Trace Matrix (RTM).
  • Basic understanding of UI design tools like Figma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Salesforce Cloud or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Understanding of Design Controls and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) as mandated by the FDA for Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile: Scrum, SAFe.
  • Expert in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Excel, Jira, Confluence, Change Management tool (ServiceNow), Test tool (ALM).

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Build and maintain product requirements for life cycle management as well as create and maintain prioritized requirements backlog in partnership with product owner and business teams.
  • Become a domain expert with our Mobile Applications Team and support our product development lifecycle while aligning with both internal and external regulations as applicable to a Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD).
  • Proven ability of working in software product management teams and driving the SDLC from business analyst role.
  • SAFe Practitioner required, other Agile certifications a plus.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing and services (AWS, S3).
  • Prior experience in building user stories and user requirements in web, native and hybrid mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms as part of an Agile product team.
  • Ability to think strategically about technology and recommend solutions that align with business strategy and achieve the best outcome for users.
