What you will do
We are looking for an experienced individual that will work with the business to understand data and analytics requirements and oversee the development and use of data systems, discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for management of data & analytics projects in the JAPAC region.
- Work with key business stakeholders to set expectations, plan for analytical projects and deliver on those analytical requests.
- Work with sales, pricing and other support functions to deliver strong analytics that support decision making within the business.
- Work with the regional data & analytics lead and IS teams to work on regional data and analytics initiatives.
- Help coordinate with sponsors and other functional teams for shared issues/risks with regards to data, tools etc.,
- Responsible for streamlining data sets to ensure a sustainable reporting for all standard and ad-hoc analytics requests.
- Create and enforce policies for effective data management.
- Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
- Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
- Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
- Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to processes, legal and company standards.
- Assist with dashboards, reports and data extraction when needed.
- Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
- Ensure digital data are protected from unauthorized access, security breaches and data losses.
- Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field preferred.
- Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in relevant fields of data, reporting and analytics.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting.
- Strong analytics skills to help drive insights.
- Experience with Tableau, Amazon Redshift, Alteryx, big data technologies or similar background is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple partners and teams with significant complexity.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
The potential candidate is a detail-oriented individual with good communication skills in working with the business in understanding real world business problems and enable the business using data and analytics. The individual should have a thorough and demonstrable understanding of principles of data management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures, tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. The goal is to ensure that information flows timely and securely to and from the organization as well as within.
