The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly to resolve user’s issues/problems related to hardware, software and/or production related.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement with the ability to drive them to closure
• Install and/or upgrade equipment and software
• Has strong communication skill to interact with stakeholders to obtain desired outcome
• Achieve or exceed IT budgetary objectives in support of plant financial goal
• Deploy and maintain mobile equipment like smartphones and tablets
• Identify recurring issues, document and escalate to appropriate personnel
• Make recommendations for improvement in processes and procedures
• Follow existing processes and use standard methodologies to carry out assigned tasks
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years and above of IT related experience in infrastructure and/or desktop support arena
