Abbott is seeking an Application Architect with knowledge of revenue management software as a service (SaaS) solution, commercial operations, customer relationship management, integrations, DevOps technology, and cloud computing. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the solution design and architecture global implementations across revenue management applications and the integrations it requires.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a delivery focused role who will be accountable for the solution designs delivered within a division in the revenue management landscape and driving its reusability on a global scale. You will be working with internal and external delivery and development teams to ensure the reference architecture is understood and incrementally delivered in each project.  This role will require to manage its tactics to ensure delivery is achieved without the addition of technical debt. The role will require a strong technical background with good communication skills while interacting with business as well as technical stakeholders.  

The Application Architect should have a broad level of technical expertise, with knowledge of Healthcare Industry, in the following areas:

  • Revenue Management solutions
  • Contracting solutions
  • Pricing solutions
  • Tender Management solutions
  • Trade Promotion Management Optimization

The Application Architect should have technical understanding and/or expertise in the following areas:

  • Configure, Quote, Price (CPQ) solutions, with emphasis on Healthcare.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions for Healthcare.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions
  • Integration solutions
  • Global Data Warehouse solutions
  • Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
  • Agile/Waterfall Methodologies (Hybrid Approach)
  • Agile Methodology for Continuous Improvements (DevOps)
  • Management experience implementing and sustaining projects driven by business mission and objectives.
  • Emphasis on client collaboration, project execution and sustaining development operations
  • Business Alignment and Stakeholder Management
  • Continuous Process Improvement
  • Application Development and Solution Delivery
  • Regulated Industry Implementations and Compliance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have 2 years minimum of contract and price management system knowledge
  • Must understand complex system integrations and data migration best practices
  • Ability to create system level design and detailed technical architecture documents
  • Experienced with Agile methodology, including tools such as XP, Scrums and/or Kanban
  • Must have Systems Development Lifecycle experience
  • Manage projects at the division level                        

Preferred

  • Have at least 5 yrs. experience in application architecture, solution delivery, business systems analysis, software development, deployment, or operations
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a solution design
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to lead business process and architecture discussions with multiple stakeholders
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills and should be a business problem solver
  • Must be team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse groups
  • Participate in pre-program (Phase 0) activities and provide demos/ proposals to our clients
  • Lead project meetings relevant to the technical activities
  • Willing and able to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time for project needs
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor cross-functional and enterprise project teams               
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
