Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

IT Application Manager, CRM/E-commerce - will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in managing CRM/E-commerce/other customer-facing applications across companies. The position will be a focal point to business customers for requirements gathering and will ensure their needs are clearly understood and translated into system requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage CRM/E-commerce/other customer-facing applications across Praxair companies in China.

  • Direct all phases of IT application project life cycle, i.e. user requirements definition; risk assessment; systems analysis and design activities; application programming and testing; training and documentation; software package selection and implementation.

  • Manages multiple projects according to the Praxair global IT project management methodology. This includes activities such as documenting scope and resource plans; managing project plans; and managing project teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.

  • Hand-on works are required in requirements gathering, documentation, designing, developing and testing in implementing and maintaining the business systems.

  • Lead a team of IT professionals from internal and external resources.

  • Manage the suppliers in system implementation and exist system maintenance.

  • Cultivates the client relationship by developing an in-depth understanding of their needs and ensuring that the group's efforts are directed towards meeting the objectives of the client

  • Coordinate with other global teams including system architects and development teams to assess the technical feasibility of the requirements develop the solutions and support systems testing.

  • Proactively advice on process optimization with the best practice in the industry

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree or above in an Information Technology or Business Systems related discipline.

  • Minimum 12 years working experience in a business analysis or application implementation role in large scale MNC environment.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading a team of IT professionals to deliver multiple medium –large implementation projects and maintain business systems in a heterogeneous environment

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in analysis/design/test /implementation and administration of a large scale business system.

  • 10+ years working experience in managing multiple projects, following project management methodologies and supervising project team staff.

  • Broad business knowledge in sales/ customer services/marketing

  • Must be able to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels. Skilled in interpreting customer requirements and proactively turning them into solutions.

  • Solid skill and knowledge in one or more of following systems /development platforms

    • CRM, MS Dynamics is preferred

    • E-commerce platform, include web, APP and WeChat

    • MS SQL and Oracle Database

    • ERP ( SAP SD or Oracle JDE in sales/logistics),

    • BI reporting system (Oracle Business Intelligence )

  • Willing to work in a fast pace, dynamic and high pressure working environment while providing timely, effective and accurate deliverables


    Other Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with solid presentation skills are a must.

  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-tasks.

  • Fluent in English.
