This role is responsible for managing and defining the technical/architect designs of business requirement documentation for software development and delivery of applications.

1- Liaise with users and other departments to design, develop, maintain and implement computer applications.
2- Liaise with external and internal auditors on computer system audits.
3- Liaise with local or oversea vendors to support them from the beginning phase of SDLC till project go live (e.g. design/implementation/development/integration/testing/deployment and maintenance)
4- Review existing methods, identify problems and evaluate alternative ways of solving the problems.
5- Construct information flow charts and design forms for purposes of recommending organizational and procedure improvement when necessary.
6- For in-house applications, prepare, code, test, debug, modify and document computer programs.
7- To ensure, user manual for all systems are in place in case the applications are out source to vendor. Technical document from vendor should be demanded as stated in SOW for future reference and enhancement.
8- Provide application support for SIT/UAT/production systems to users, testers and developers(vendor in case of out sourcing).
9- Produce and update understandable application system architecture diagrams documents (e.g. servers connections, data flow between servers, communication ports opened etc.).
10- Ensure that work assigned is properly carried out in accordance with established guidelines, procedures and instructions as well as instructed by the Line Manager or Top management

Job Requirement

- Degree in IT or related fields 
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in application development in insurance or banking & financial industry

- Knowledge on DBMS like SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, Postgresql
- Knowledge in either mainframe, AS400, COBOL, Control Language and SQL Development
- Prior experience in LIFE/Asia (former Life/400) development is an added advantage 
- Strong analytical ability and excellent communication skill
