Job Description

IT Clerk

What you will be doing:

 

  • Reporting to IT-Technology Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
    •    Plan, implement and coordinate the system installation within the approved schedule and budget. 
    •    Provide technical assistance in supporting the PMS 
    •    Assist IT-Technology Manager in planning, organizing and developing structured training of the hotel personnel. 
    •    Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems. 
    •    Provide all vendors with instructions, materials and supplies necessary for effective system operation. 
    •    Supervise the system logs. 
    •    Operate in compliance with all local, state and government regulations. 
    •    Maintain system software in operating condition. 
    •    Maintain software application configuration and security files. Input changes as required. 
    •    Maintain computer user manuals and documentation. Provide user manuals to departmental users as requested. 
    •    Maintain logs of system activity including saves, updates and problems. Prepare summary each week and distribute to department heads. 
    •    Ensure that proper backup of files and libraries are properly backed up and stored off-site. 
    •    Serve as system operations trainer for hotel and assist department heads with training evaluations 
    •    Assist in planning, organizing and the developing departmental training manuals. Ensure these manuals are kept updated by the departmental manager.
    •    Other duties as assigned


    Your experience and skills include:
  • •    Bachelor or college Degree in computer science or related discipline 
    •    At least 1 years’ experience in in Hotel Industry
    •    Excellent communication skills (spoken, written). 
    •    Computer literate. 
    •    Conceptual and creative ability. 
    •    Microsoft Office software : Word, Excel, Power point 
    •    Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
