Job Description

We are looking for a driven individual to support the Technology Compliance and Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) function at UBS WM in China. This person will report and work closely with the Head of C&ORC and ensure the company is in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, aligned with the relevant UBS policies and the various risks in particular Technology risks are manageable.

We are looking for someone like that to:

? Assess relevant regulatory developments and requirements in China, support inspection activities and regulatory questionnaires, and provide interpretations

? Provide country-specific regulatory subject-matter expertise and manage the regulatory engagements

? Understand / manage the Operational Risk Assessment Process for the entity including identification, evaluation, monitoring and reporting of risks

? Undertake thematic risk reviews in order to proactively identify risk issues and act as a reviewer of risk assessments

? Support Head of C&ORC with the management and coordination of key operational risk framework activities to ensure appropriate technology risk management

? Support Head of C&ORC for acting as second line of defense to business's oversight, independently verify the design and operating effectiveness of 1st line of defense risk management, in particular technology risks, developing risk policies and procedures, and implementing the processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks.

? Support Head of C&ORC with the management of operational risk events; assess possible risks through Incident and Problem Management procedures

? Build relationships with Corporate Centre (Group Technology, Group Operations etc) & Business stakeholders to proactively identify issues and ensure the teams are effectively driving remediation activities

? Independently verify the design and operating effectiveness of 1st line of defense risk management, develop risk policies and procedures, and implement the processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks

  • Your expertise :
You Have:
? a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant discipline
? 3+ years of experience within Information Technology, ideally in the financial industry with a particular focus and practical experience on Compliance and Operational Risk Control management, Information Security, or Production Support
? solid knowledge of regulations governing the financial industry in China
? Effective communication and interpersonal skills; fluent both in English and MandarinYou Are
? analytic, with the ability to provide practical solutions for minimizing risk
? result-oriented and assertive (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
? a team player with the ability to work independently to organize, manage and complete projects within tight deadlines
