Eaton’s IT team is looking to hire a Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) Zone Manager – Western & Canada Zone to join our team. This position can be based at our Irvine, CA, Los Angeles, CA or Beachwood, Ohio facilities. Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and guidance to their team, build organizational capabilities, as well as act as a point of escalation for customers at Eaton around their infrastructure issues and needs. Our customers include all of Eaton’s users (local and remote). Team members will consist of a mix of co-located/remote employees. This position will manage a large team of Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) analysts for the Western & Canada Region/Zone. The SIS organization is a global customer-facing organization focused on providing 2nd level client infrastructure support to all of Eaton’s internal PC users. Responsibilities: This person will have experience in IT infrastructure (PC, printer, network, server, mobile devices, phone systems), with expertise in PCs and peripherals. They must also possess an understanding of service desk operations and IT Service Management (ITSM), including incident, problem and change management. Will provide site infrastructure support at locations and is the escalation point of contact for infrastructure needs and issues. The person will provide day-to-day leadership and guidance for more complex issues, ensure adherence to IT strategic plan, coordinate with other IT teams as needed and required, ensure appropriate deployment of standard ITSM processes of change management, incident management, problem management and project management to drive efficiencies, improve customer satisfaction and drive compliance with operational metrics. The person will also partner with asset management in procurement, inventory as well as the overall client lifecycle, ensure software standards and license compliance, responsible for meeting all financial commitments as prescribed by the organization, and foster the education of customers with each interaction. Responsible for leading a large team of SIS Analysts, including day-to-day management, performance reviews, employee life cycle, counseling, career development planning, regular staff meetings and 1 on 1 meetings. This person will drive for results to meet and exceed expectations, while understanding that customer service is of utmost importance. The person has proven ability to make good decisions based upon a mix of analysis, experience, global and cultural factors, and judgment, experience in dealing with senior leaders within an organization, and has the ability to establish and maintain open and candid relationships with employees and customers. Will lead medium to large size application, infrastructure, and operational excellence initiatives as needed related to site infrastructure within the Western & Canada Zone or within North America. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required Minimum Five years of management experience or a total of eight years’ experience within IT. No relocation is being offered, candidates must reside within 50 miles of Eaton Center in Cleveland, Ohio, Los Angeles, California, CA or Irvine, CA to be considered for this opportunity. Direct or Functional Management experience within a company similar in size and scope to Eaton. Experience with senior leadership interactions - IT & customer. Project management knowledge and experience. Makes good decisions based upon analysis, experience, global and cultural factors, and judgment. Sees the big picture and ensures alignment of own team’s work with Eaton’s overall strategies and long-term success—ensures the team knows the right things to be working on (or not working on), based on this alignment. Critical contact for any IT outages that cause negative business impact - may be contacted after hours for emergencies. Must be able to work well under pressure.
