Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision this position will deploy product updates, identify production issues and implement integrations as well as automate and streamline operations and processes. This position is also responsible for the planning, implementation, and operations of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure to serve the evolving needs of MBUSI. This can include but is not limited to the underlying hardware, operating system, databases, and middleware needed to run enterprise level applications in the client, server, network, or communications fields.

Essential Functions:
Design, deploy and maintain highly reliable, robust and scalable systems and services.
Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) through operational excellence.
Provide Level 2 technical support
Design, build and automate Cloud infrastructure.
Manage server clusters deployed in Cloud.
Develop and improve tools for continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing and release management.
Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
Perform root cause analysis for production errors, investigate and resolve technical issues
Define and track metrics, logging, analytics and alerting for performance and security across all systems and applications.
Develop and update system documentation to ensure high levels of support for Production.
Lead IT Infrastructure projects and participate as a project team member on other IT projects as required.
Provide cost and effort estimates to deliver IT Infrastructure goods and services for projects and requests.
Act as a 3rd level support when required on Incidents and Problems. Participate in cross discipline task forces when required to analyze major issues.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and Daimler standards and participate in global working groups.
Design, establish, implement, control and maintain an enterprise architecture management system at Daimler (EAM). This can cover the areas of business architecture, application/information architecture, application landscape management and the technology/infrastructure architecture.
Conduct/ensure adequate user training with major system enhancements where required.
Assist with the development of Disaster Recovery strategies, techniques, and plans.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
