We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Development Professional - Applications to join our IT business unit based in Bayswater, VIC. Reporting to the IT Manager the Development Professional is responsible for developing and supporting business software applications and/or IT solutions on the basis of functional specifications. You will Consult with internal business users in creating functional specifications, work estimates and analyse performance gaps of existing software environments. The Development Professional supports customization, analyses programs and defines actions necessary to change logical functions, performs bug verification and testing, as well as providing technical support for business applications (standard software and custom development). You will support migration projects, ensures change documentation and plans releases and upgrades. Prepare plans and execute trainings, support change-related processes and the implementation of IT security guidelines. Keep abreast of trends and industry standards in software programming, system integration and other IT development matters, and most importantly be an effective communicator and team player.
