About this team
Reporting to the SVP of International Technology, the information technology director – Asia works closely with teams in Asia, Vancouver and Seattle to ensure technology capabilities support our growth in the region. This role is responsible for setting strategy, building teams, and executing all IT functions across Asia. This includes leading and directing all IT operations to meet business requirements, support and maintenance of existing infrastructure and applications, and development of new technical solutions.
A day in the life:
- Maintains relationships with key members of the executive leadership team in APAC and Global headquarters, providing guidance with strategic delivery of technology solutions in market.
- Coordinate activities of IT employees in the APAC region, providing mentorship and guidance
- A leader in the delivery of technology solutions at store, digital, marketing, corporate systems and supply chain domains for the region
- Coordinates solutions delivery with counterparts in Vancouver, Canada and Seattle, USA
- Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and replacement personnel.
- Develop and manages Asia IT budget and report on expenditures
- Builds relationships with vendors and creates cost-efficient contracts
- Oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals
- Enforces IT policies and procedures as required by relevant company standards and local regulations
- Analyzes the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs, and implements effective solutions
- Lead and provide highly responsive production support and operational support for our Corporate and Store teams.
Qualifications:
- You are a natural leader and connector building strong business relationships with business stakeholders, your global team and all cross-functional partnerships
- You are a creative thinker and innovator
- Solid understanding of computer systems (hardware, software, networks etc.)
- You love developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints
- Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical thinking and problem solving, issue resolution, and relationship management
- You are self-confident, outgoing and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and staff
- You communicate technical and project management concepts in business oriented terms.
- Proven experience in delivering and managing technology functions in a highly matrixed organization structure
- In-depth understanding and knowledge in one or more retail domains In-store technology, Digital, , Omni, CRM Marketing and supply chain.
- Experience in working as regional IT leader for a multi-national company is a plus
