The Engineering Manager will build and manage a team of software engineers responsible for developing production code that automates the creation and management of cloud environments for the applications that make up Company 's digital dentistry workflow. The Engineering Manager will manage relationships with local cloud vendors (Aliyun and AWS), coordinate all communication between Company and DevOps Global leader and oversee cloud spending/security/compliance efforts inside mainland China.

More about the role

This role will need to keep up to date with all modern technologies in the field of cloud infrastructure operations and release engineering (often referred to as "devops"). That skill set will be applied across the following activities:

• Leading a team of engineers to develop and support infrastructure code to support Company 's digital workflow in China
• Ensure infrastructure designs can support aggressive Service Level Agreements with our internal business partners
• Conduct research tasks to help R&D teams make best technology/architectural decisions inside China
• Ensure team is utilizing company best practices and delivering solutions matching corporate standards
• Provide support for production systems inside China
• Coaching engineers on industry best practices

• Proficiency in speaking and writing English
• Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years' experience working in DevOps or as SysAdmin
• 3+ years' experience building and leading technical teams
• 3+ years' experience working with cloud vendors (Aliyun and AWS a plus)
• 3+ years' experience in one or more programming languages; Python, Ruby or Java
• Experience with technical implementation of Security and Compliance standards
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining distributed systems and/or client-server applications
• Experience working with configuration management frameworks (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
• Experience with container-based technologies, Docker a plus
• Experience with Continuous Integration techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
