Job Description :
Role: Project Engineer
Setup of IT equipment on a new office floor and provide continued support to the end users
Responsibilities
1. New office space setup
Act as point of contact for IT tasks to be performed for fit out of floor
Participate and provide updates in regular project tracking calls
Setup and build/rebuild IT equipment with OS and deploy software
Deploy computers, monitors and peripherals
Update and manage inventory records of deployed equipment
Fully document floor fit out to aide ongoing support
2. Ongoing Support
Provide on-site technical support for IT equipment (software & hardware)
Support Market Data and in-house developed applications
Perform basic hardware changes
Manages spare inventory, and work with vendors for hardware repairs
Record and manage all incidents and requests in ticket-tracking system
Test applications as required by business before rollout
Documentation of products and processes
Troubleshoot system failures or bugs
Requirements
Diploma or above in Computer Science or other related disciplines
2-5 years of IT Support experience
Good knowledge and IT experience supporting Microsoft Windows configuration, Desktop administration, MS Office
Basic understanding of network and server side infrastructure
Solid understanding of Intel based PC hardware/peripherals
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Fluent in English
