IT Infrastructure Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Through consultation with the UK Headquarter team, take a lead role in designing and maintaining IT Infrastructure in Shanghai in any of the following technologies: Security, Internet, LAN, Wireless, Backup, Phone, Firewall and Servers (both physical and virtual)

• Work with vendors to coordinate technical support when needed

• Escalate incidents to UK/APAC (internal) teams as appropriate

• Provide advanced level of support for hardware, operating system as the 2nd line IT support

• Handle IT related expenses and requisitions in the ERP system

• Report to Hangzhou IT Manager on the regular basis about the ongoing issues and the goals

Skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

• Hands-on experience with Broadband, MPLS, VPN, Backup, NAS Storage, Disaster Recovery plan, Enterprise firewall (e.g. Palo Alto), VMWare and Windows Servers

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work on concurrent priorities

• Ability to work unsupervised

• Working knowledge of ITIL processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Business level English skills in writing and reading

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and VMware certification (VCP) desired but not a must
