About Intel IT's UX (user experience) Team:

Intel IT plays a central role in increasing the value of Intel's business.

We develop data-driven solutions to improve the operations and processes of a global technology leader.

The IT UX team defines and sets UX and accessibility guidelines and provides UX research, strategy and UX services across a 5000+ people organization that supports thousands of applications across Intel.

We are looking for a user experience (UX) professional with interaction design experience and a human-computer interaction (HCI) background to join our team of researchers, designers and accessibility to help us expand our ability to infuse UX methods across IT's solution stack.

In this position, you will work with cross-functional teams of UX Architects, UX researchers, UX designers, application/product owners, solution analysts, and developers to investigate and document human needs, propose and test solutions that improve the experience and work iteratively and within both business and technical constraints to deliver the best solution possible.

Your core job duties would be:

  • Design information structures and navigation, task flows, and wireframes with view descriptions specifying the detailed content and behavior.
  • You would specify display texts, icons, graphics and additional custom widgets.
  • You would need to understand user functionality vs. systems functionality and group user, systems functions and information into a cohesive structure.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or other related program OR at least 5 Years of equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience including: UX methods specifically interaction design (task flows, wireframes, prototypes), information architecture/navigation).
  • 1+ Years of Designing both low and high fidelity prototypes.
  • Must have a portfolio demonstrating design outputs.
  • Advanced English level.

Preferred

  • Turning UX research, task flows or other business process documentation into solid design recommendations and sketches.
  • Figma intermediate to expert skills.
  • Accessibility knowledge (designing with accessibility in mind).
  • Knowledge of and/or experience developing design systems.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with enterprise IT environment and systems.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment in a corporate setting.
  • 1+ years of experience working with teams that include diverse skill sets (design, research, engineering, etc.).
  • 1+ years of experience translating UX research into UX artifacts and designs.
  • 1+ years of experience with basic UX research and evaluation methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, personas, journey mapping, heuristic evaluations.

Inside this Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.



Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
