IT Manager in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 494355) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline with 7 years’ relevant work experience in website/Content Management System (CMS) development. They should have good senses in visual and graphic presentations as well as practical knowledge in website design and internet programming languages/tools (e.g. CSS 3, HTML 5, PHP, MYSQL Java Script, MySQL and Wordpress). They should also have strong problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills and be a good team player. Experience in developing mobile applications (iOS/android platform) and e-Learning platforms (i.e. edX, Moodle) are preferred.
The appointee will provide IT support to the Mindful School Culture Project. Duties will include developing and maintaining e-Learning platforms, project websites, web and mobile applications, multi-media resource materials and other programming work; and performing other duties as assigned. Occasional work outside normal office hours and on weekends is required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
